Those who removed ovaries, how much Vitamin D &E are you taking?

So now that I am on the other side, I am trying to get everything in order to maintain my health without ovaries. So I know to increase my intake of these vitamins to promote hearth health and bone health. How many pills are you guys taking or should we be taking? The bottle says two pills a day for each but I'm sure I need more than that. I eat pretty healthy and know I'm getting it from food also but just curious what other sisters are doing

Do *not* take more than the bottle says. Both vitamins D and E are fat soluble. That means that if you take too much, your body stores it in your body fat rather than flushing it out through urine. Over the time, the increasing accumulation can have toxic effects.

If you're concerned about bone density, make sure to get plenty of weight-bearing exercise (including walking) and dietary calcium.
