Week 6 Post Hysterectomy - complications - return to work?

I have had a rollercoaster of events since my lavh on 6 march. 1st week was ok then I developed post op infection so was given antibiotics. Back to dr for more antibiotics as in severe pain and temperature. Called dr out as pain was unbearable now have uti so more antibiotics. Week 4 still in pain and burning when I pee also now have vaginal thrush. Dr not happy with my progress so admitted to hospital. 3 days in hospital Ultrasound and ct scan clear. Consultant said that due to complications where tubes were twisted and everything got stuck together pain would be more severe and would take longer to recover. Follow up not until 22 may which is post op week 11. Does this mean I can't go back to work until then. I don't feel anywhere near ready for work but that date seems a long way off. Energy levels are very low and still having a lot of pain.

Hi, Im sorry youve had many speed bumps throughout your recovery.. As far as thrush, your Dr can prescribe flutconsole pills..Your Dr is the 1 that would go over restrictions/release & clear you w work.

As far as low energy, thats common from your body needing rest & reduced estrogen. Talk to your Dr about hormones. Ask if you can take soymilk as it works w estrogen in the body. Ive found a heating pad comforting for pains. It will get better.
