back and hip pain

Hi All, I'm 2 1/2 weeks post op and have started having some back and hip pain. It's a sort of strong achy feeling. The dr's office called the other day to check on me and I didn't mention it thinking it was all part of the recovery process. But I am getting concerned. Anybody else have this issue? My surgery was "the works" as the dr put it: LAVH, BSO, A&P, and enterocele repair.
Thanks to all of you awesome women.

Re: back and hip pain

I ignored back pain and it ended up being a kidney infection at about 2 1/2 weeks post op. It's always best to call the doctor.

Re: back and hip pain

Agreed. If your pain is severe, you should insist that your doctor look into it. I do have a lot of back and hip pain since my Jan 7th surgery, but for me is from sitting so much. I sit on my yoga ball as much as my tummy can handle because it helps so much with my hip pain.

Re: back and hip pain

I've noticed that my hips ache after I've walked a lot or overdone it. I'm assuming mine is from trying to be active again after sitting around so long.
