DvH scheduled and now Multiple Sclerosis?!

I might be in the wrong board area, but I have had by far the worst week ever. Im feeling scatter brained, And I feel like Im falling apart. Right now, Im chugging down my clear liquids for an upper and lower scope I have tomorrow due to my bowels not functioning properly. (We assumed it was due to the endo-so I scheduled it just to check it all out before my surgery on 2/25). (Last week I was told I should go ahead and have the DvH). Ok so I'm coming to grips with that pretty well-thinking it might alleviate the pain and get "things" moving along again, so to speak. At the same time, I had also been undergoing testing for some pretty crazy nerve and numbness symptoms I had been experiencing on and off for a year now. Catscans, EMG's, MRI on my c-spine, and a ton of bloodwork. The Dr called me yesterday and said I needed to come in immediately to discuss the results. They saw Demyelenation at C2. All signs pointing to MS. I immediately broke down from all the stress I have been under......Jeeze. How much more not so great news can I take in a 6 day period........So, I have an appointment with a Neurologist on Tuesday-and my Dr ordered 2 more MRI's, this time with contrast and on my neck and brain. Just waiting on the authorization from my insurance so I can get that scheduled. I tried calling my sisters- one just said she is sorry, and nothing more via FB. And my other sister hasnt even returned my calls or texts at all. No one has offered to help, no one has given me words of encouragement-except my boyfriend and his parents. They're actually showing more signs of compassion than my own flesh and blood. How is all of this going to affect my life. The DvH surgery, recovering with little to no help. All the scopes and testing and now MS? Should I just write off the ones who could care less about whats happening to their baby sister? Im feeling pretty alone and feel the depression kicking in. Please someone help, or direct me to the right place. Life just went from kinda hard to how can I handle a life as a mom of 3 living with all of these issues.

Nova825 I am so sorry that you have to deal with so much in such a short timespan. I will pray that God gives you the strength to get through this.
Hugs!

Thank You Mel. I appreciate it. Sometimes it makes me feel better to just type and let it all out, even though I still feel pretty lousy.

I am so sorry to hear that. I will definitely pray for you. Right now you need positive people around you. You are going through enough to have any negativity in the mix. You have a great support system with your BF, his family, GOD, and US. If you need anything let me know.

Take care and try to keep your spirits up.

Nova825 - Holy Moly girl..that is a LOT of stuff to deal with all at once! First things first..take a deep breath and try to center yourself. This time is about you and healing and if people are not showing you love find others who will. DX with MS in 2007 I can relate! You want to keep yourself as stress free as possible and that is not going to be easy. I will be sending you good healing energy and angels of comfort but right now..breathe..take it one step at a time. I found, when I was DX with MS, that I had a nasty of habit of burning the candle at both ends and juggling them at the same time. This was a major lesson to me in just kind of letting things go..figuring out what is important and what is not. I have been pretty darn symptom free for years - but I have to take care of myself. Start to treat yourself with love and compassion - take care of your body - you have tons of love on this board and no one is going to let you fall. Hugs girl!! Hang in there! Its YOU time now!
