spotting. almost 5 weeks
Could this mean I'm over doing things? I haven't had any blood since after the first week. Should I worry? It's mostly there when I go to the bathroom and I'm only wearing a panty liner. (I had my cervix, uterus, & partal tubes removed.)

Re: spotting. almost 5 weeks
Guess I'm alone with this one. My 6 week appt is in 1 week from today, so I guess I'll ask my doc.

Re: spotting. almost 5 weeks
I have been dealing with bleeding and spotting recently as well. I kept my cervix however. My doc said that my cervix was bleeding and Im not real sure of the cause. In your situation I've read that some women have had some unhealed ares at the vaginal cuff that caused some spotting. So asking your doc is the best bet. I def know how you feel though. I went through this surgery and thought that the panty liner days were over. Good luck!

Re: spotting. almost 5 weeks
I'm 4 weeks post op tomorrow. I had a little week one. stopped but I've noticed it after I have relations with my dh. Light pink on my toilet paper and panty liner. Not sure why. I would of thought I wouldn't have to worry about bleeding at all after my hyster. I had everything removed including cervix. The only thing left is 2/3 of my right ovary. Let me know what you find out.

Re: spotting. almost 5 weeks
Found out that it was from doing a little to much that day. From that it caused friction in the vigina. Not being totally healed yet and the friction means that it's normal to bleed slightly. The doc added that it's very important to listen to your body. I told her as soon as I noticed it that I slowed down and took it easy, which was the right thing to do. Even though I have been cleared at 6 wk check up she said to still listen to my body. If anything doesn't feel right to stop and rest.

tld2cool - I am glad you figured out why you were bleeding.
Katinia - Have you asked your doctor about resuming "relations" with your dh? Normally, most doctor say no sex for 6 to 8 weeks. You don't state what kind of surgery you had but if you have a vaginal cuff, you risk ripping it open or if you kept your cervix, you are risking an infection. Please check with your doctor.

Re: spotting. almost 5 weeks
I spotted until my 6 week check up. I only noticed on the tissue when I wiped though, so it wasn't anything major. It was caused from my vaginal cuff having granulation and as soon as the doctor used silver nitrate on it, all spotting ceased and I've been great ever since. I'm glad you figured out why you were spotting. I know it can be stressful not knowing and worrying.
