TAH Almost 9 wks post op & bleeding after sex

Monday I will be 9 wks post op. I had TAH only keeping my.ovaries.I was cleared to have sex at 6 wks but was finally brave enough last night. It was wonderful no pain at all. Today though I noticed a small amount of blood. Up until now ive had no bleeding since 4 days post op. Has anyone else experienced this. Im worried we did something to my cuff...

This does sometimes happen after first attempts at return to intimacy. As long as it is spotting it should be okay but if you are concerned or if it something that you weren't expecting give your Dr. a ring.

The recommendations for those first times are slow and nothing too vigorous and lots of lubrication. After not being used for awhile the muscles can atrophy and that can cause the spotting. Also there could be a spot that wasn't 100% healed and it could have irritated that location.

I have heard that a little spotting is normal. As long as its not bright red (new blood) and a lot of it you should be ok.
