Pre Op Jitters!!! Help!!!!

First, this is a GREAT SITE! I feel so much better now that I have found it! I m having my surgery on June 28!! I am nervous. I am 35 years old an we have 1 daughter who is 17. We have been unable to have anymore children. Reason unknown!!! I am treating everyone like poopy doo!! I am grouchy, hateful and short tempered. Is this normal pre op??? Please help!!

Yes, it's normal. Take a deep breath and try not to overly offend the people you'll be relying on after surgery.

I had my pre-op today for a cold knife biopsy, and I was not only so nervous that I have been "short" with DH and our son today, but my pulse was 117 when the nurse took it at the appt and my BP was 160/88!! That's NOT a normal reading for me as my resting pulse is normally in the low 60s. Some of the worst part is almost over. Just try to be kind to yourself and think positively! Everything will be alright! Much luck and well wishes to you!
