LAVH: One week and counting

Good Morning.. One week from now I should be in surgery.. I am getting excited about it... I have been practicing the correct way to get out of bed.. I have been enjoying clipping my toe nails cuz in a week that isn't going to be possible.. laughing knowing that what I take for granted now will be in a week quite a challenge.. I am striving to be positive and find humor through the pain. (now talk to me next week and I may have a whole new approach) I wish all my HysterSisters good luck in their surgery and recovery..

Yes, do treat yourself to a pedicure, since bending down to do it yourself post op will be a challenge. Good luck and I'll be thinking about you, mooncricket!

Luckily I remembered to shave my legs the night before my surgery, something else that is almost impossible to do afterwards.

Ooooooh man, I'm gonna get a pedicure too! I need one in the worst way.

Three days!!! Three days and three minutes from now, and I go into the ER, and a couple hours after that it will be OVER!

a pedicure sounds like a good idea question can we wear clear nail polish on our toes before the surgery?

Normally, the toes can be polished with whatever. It's the fingernails that have to be kept clear or bare.

Note: some require no polish, but that should be specified in pre-op instructions.

May be up to your Dr. My Dr. said French is fine on toes and fingers. Yay!
