There is light at the end of the tunnel!

Yes there is a light at the end of the tunnel!
I went in Monday morning not sure what to expect and came ohme Tuesday afternoon with everything going the best way possible. Dr. didn't have to do the hysterectomy abdominably, I have three ( the pamphlet sadi to expect 4 or 5) small incisions for the laser stuff(technical term) and got to keep one ovary so no hormone regimen. I've had a little gas pain but not really tooo much. The worst part was waiting for my frist BM, what a thing to celebrate. But it has arrived and now life is back to normal, at least as far as eating. I get to leave the house long enough to see my ds's musical then "straight back to the house" DD, DS, DH are doing the housework and I can finally read those things I've heard other people talk about, I think they are called books, and there are these strange shows on TV called soaps that I haven't seen since college, none of the same characters but the stories haven't changed. Just wanted to let all of you know that Yes life does go on and gets better!!!! On to the post-op posts.

Wow, to expect an abdominal and then be able to have the laser thingy (another highly technical term)! Your guardian angels were truly watching over you!

Tomorrow will be my 4 week anniversary of my SAH, and I'm still sore (buy my problem is that when I start to feel good - i.e. no pain - I act more normal and then overdo it).

The other thing I noticed upon first coming home was how good I felt. The medication really lulls you into thinking you feel pretty good. Don't fall for it. Lay low, take it easy. You still had a lot of stuff removed, even though they didn't have to cut your tummy in a big smile, like mine.

Glad it all went so much better than anticipated!
