OMG Piles....

I have always suffered with piles since having my son 9 years ago, as I have suffered with pain and heavy bleeding since his birth also, can i expect my piles to get any better after surgery? I used Prep H gel and suppositories which offer a little help. I have tried Anusol and Germoloids but to no avail, occassionally i have to go see my GP for something stronger. Please help as I have been told I may have to have them banded/removed if they continue to cause discomfort.

Hemorrhoids - I think this is a question for your doctor to answer.

OMG Piles....

I'm not a doc, but I'd imagine maybe they can do something to help that when they go in for the hyst? Might be worth an ask.

OMG Piles....

I've had piles for going on 20 years. They were always made worse during my period when they got wet and warm in a menstrual pad. They would burn like a hot poker. It would take them a while to calm down and then I had to start all over again. I still have them, but they are not uncomfortable. Ask your doctor for some stool softners. Constipation makes them way worse. I started them the week before surgery so that there would be no break in coverage. The narcotics and other medications can constipate, so I wanted a head start in that department.

I didn't think that they would go away, but they have been well behaved so far since my surgery. Hemorrhoids are no fun.

Hope this helps,
