Post op checkup

Going in to the dr. for a checkup tomorrow.2 1/1 weeks post op. Does this visit include an internal exam? I just may kick him in the head if it does!!!!

I don't know! But whatever they do, i hope you get a good report! And your doctor comes out of it unharmed! :-)

I was surprised that she did a quick internal at one week post op. I thought it was just to check incisions! It wasn't painful at all though.

I did not have an internal exam at the 2 1/2 week follow up. The dr just checked my incisions and asked how I felt. I did not have an internal exam until my 6 weeks. Good luck.

At my 2 week post-op there was no internal check; dr. just checked my incision, checked blood pressure and weight, and told me to continue healing per instructions of no cleaning, no lifting, no exercising, etc.

I think it may depend whether you are having any complications/pain or bleeding.

I had to go in and see my doc 4 days post-op and she did an internal exam, and again she did an internal at 2 weeks because I was bleeding. My next check up is at the 6 week mark and she will probably do it again!!!

I am 3 weeks post-op now from a LAVH, the exam was not painful despite my on going surgical pain.
