Newbie, terminology help please

hello, I am scheduled for vag hyst on March 11,2011. I have been going over my preop package from the hospital and there is something on my admit form that has me confused and nervous!

What is a "vulva clip" is that a way of saying my surgery is vaginal? if not it sounds a little concerning. Please advise if you know what this is?

I would call and ask for additional explanations on that term. I have never head of a vaginal hysterectomy being referred to as a vulva clip.

I know there are some people who at the same time as their hysterectomy had a vulvectomy (removal of all or part of the vulva) for various reasons but I don't know that I've heard the term vulva clip in reference to that surgery.

Please call your Dr. you need to be informed about this.

well that will be the first question I ask when the nurse calls for the preop interview for sure! that sounds a little creepy!
