still spotting almost 5 weeks post op

I had a TVH for prolapsed uterus and bladder tack repair. Surgery went well. I just got tierd of the pressure and have to push my stuff back up in me all the time. It got bad.The doctor release me at 3 weeks. I too am still have some bladder sensations. Not really pain just a twinge especially if bladder is full. The twinges started at about 2 1/2 weeks. I still have some achy belly as well. I can tell if my jeans are too tight. The doctor advised no straining to lift even 6 months out he said. From what I am seeing here is that the bladder twinges are normal and I can expect to have soreness and achy feeling for a while. How long for the spotting?

The spotting usually is done by 6 weeks. If you are still spotting let your know. The bladder aches and weird pains can be there for 4-5 months.

Re: still spotting almost 5 weeks post op

Hi Sisters, I think my spotting has stopped. A friend told me sometimes you think it's stopped and it's back the next day. I hope mine is over. Still having those bladder twinges though. I was 6 weeks yesterday. I hope we all continue to heal and get on with it. My dh has been my support the whole time. Doing all the work dishes, vacuming and the clothes. I am begining to assume the chores back. I actually damp mopped the kitchen today no problems no pain no straining . My grand daughter who lives with us still tells me not to do anything she is 7 and has been a great little helper as well. I wish you all well.
