Tall beds and kitty cats

Our bed is very high up. I am still using the all purpose step stool usually kept elsewhere to get in and out of bed. Lifesaver!
My cat is my constant companion in bed, and I love it. I have a HUGE pet hair roller and every evening before DH comes to bed (he's allergic) I roller away all my cat's left over fur so DH doesn't have to sneeze or have runny eyes. He's thinks it's great and i get furry warm purring companionship all day.
Finally a lightweight cotton hoodie/sweater is my new best friend. it's starting to get HOT here. My post op self wouldn't mind the house being 78 but DH grouses if it's hotter than 75. So I turn the AC on in early afternoon and put on my sweater and life is good.
