it just keeps going!!!

Hi girls! me again....started my bcp pills 7 days ago notice some of my many crazy symptoms are easing up a bit except for the leg cramps....they are excrutiating!!! I have not started any paxil but am still taking 2 mg of ativan a day to help keep the anxiety at bay...really don't want to go on paxil.....I have noticed my breasts are really swollen and sore ....didn't think I would have this since my doctor put me on the same bcp as before surgery...what gives.....any ideas about the leg cramps???? can low seretonin levels cause this also? my dr thinks this is the answer to all my problems.......? this is the same dr who after 8 mnths failed to diagnose my acute appendicitis!!

hi bren, so sorry you are dealing with the leg pain!
leg cramps can be a sign of low potassium as well. i eat potatoes and bananas and have DH rub my legs when i get the cramps.

Hi Bren,

Glad to here you are feeling better overall. Leg cramps might be low potassium, but I would recommend that you check with the doctor to make sure you are not developing a DVT (deep vein thrombosis- clots). Rubbing your legs before knowing what the pain is from could dislodge the clot if that is what is going on.

Hang in there,
