Returning back to work tomorrow 12-14-15 1 month after hysterectomy.

Hello all,
This has been my lifeline since I've had surgery on November 10, 2015. I finally return to work tomorrow 12-14-2015. I must admit I am feeling some different emotions a little scared, anxious but also excited. I think because I was home for a month recovering and just taking care of myself. I am looking forward to actually being out distracting my mind and feeling myself getting back to some sense of normalcy. I feel much better some aches and light cramping here and there some dull lower backaches. Overall I am starting to feel like myself again I went had a mani-pedí got my hair done and just getting things ready for my work week. I am looking forward to a new chapter in my life getting back to normal and hopefully I get the ok from my Dr. On December 30th to finally doing excersise and being physical again so I can clean my house throughly . I will keep you posted as my journey continues. I will continue to read all the helpful and resourceful tips on here. Thanks for reading and wish me luck. Raquel

Good luck Raquel on returning to work.

Don't tire yourself out - hopefully you don't have a strenuous job and can sit down when you feel tired.

I don't think we're weaker, just luckier!

I'm retired from an office job, but there's no way I would have felt strong enough to go back to work full-time at 6 weeks.

I returned to work after a 4 week recovery. My job is mainly sitting, so I would get up often and walk around. I was exhausted by the end of the day for the entire 1st week back, so have a plan for dinner.

Good Luck! Be well!

You are so right. I am so exhausted I have an office job and by 11:00 Am I was taking advil and getting up. I think sitting for a long period of time puts a strain on my back and legs. Came home showered took my pain meds and I am in bed now. Off tomorrow thank God! Thanks

Thanks no I sit at a desk but going from the copy/fax machine . I was tired and in some discomfort. Glad to be home now in my cozy bed and off tomorrow. Hopefully it gets better as I needed to return to work. Thanks

Good luck on your return to work! Take things slow and easy. Don't try to rush things! I'm sure it will be nice to catch up with your co-workers and see what you missed out on.

I'm in the US. Right now I'm scheduled to be off for 6 weeks. I had my TLH/BSO last Thursday and right now that feels too soon! I have to be on my feet 8 hours a day and be able to lift up to 50 pounds to return without any restrictions. I'm in retail. I was bored enough today that Intold my mom O almost wished I was at work, lol! Good luck!
