Just starting to feel okay

Well it's all over . I ended up having a TAH to much scar tissue and adhesions. I feel like I have been beat up. Stayed in the Castle until Tuesday night had a hard time I guess my cysts attached to my colon and uretha. The cysts I did have where all borderline cancer they tested everything and it did not spread to other organs so no chemo which I am very happy about. Came home with drains in my belly which should come out on Monday. I had a problem urinating once they took the catheter out so they had to put it back in. My stomach just hurts constantly from gas pains under my ribs. I finally had a bowel movement but everytime I eat I get the gas pains again under my ribs. All and all I am happy about getting it done but I wasn't expecting it to be so painfull afterwards. My operation took 3 1/2 hours which my DH was on pins and needles about. We all thought it would take 1 1/2 hours. Everybody's cicumstances are different so I hope this doesn't scare anybody. I do feel a little better each day though, my family has been great. I am so glad that this web site was here for me so much great information and I Thank everyone for all there prayers through all of this.

I am so glad you are home! Good news that you don't require chemo. I will keep you in my prayers that you are feeling better and stronger each and every day! Take care of yourself, drink plenty of water and take short walks when you can. s

Just starting to feel okay

My doc told me that as long as I could say I felt better than a week ago, I was moving in the right direction. At first it felt like I was only taking a baby step or two per day forward -- but after a while it really did get dramatically better!

Good luck to you -- glad you're home.
