Final weeks of decision making!

I am new to this site so hope you can help me. I posted my first post but now can't find it!
So this is basically a follow-up. I am hoping some of you out there can share your experiences with uterine prolapse surgery. My doctor has recommended a tvh with removal
of ovaries. I am post menopausal and have put this off for several years. The last 6 months
have been very uncomfortable and I am ready to get the thing out!!

Has anyone had mesh graphs to help with support after removal of uterus? My doctor is
recommending this. It is fairly new procedure so I would like to hear from anyone who had
this done.

I did go for a second opinion and that doctor recommended a lavh instead of tvh! Thank goodness for this site! Could any one share there experiences with uterine prolapse
repair and bladder repair?

Thanks. Had a consult with doctor today. Still undecided as to whether to have a tvh or
lavh for uterine prolapse. Need cystocele repair also and bladder sling. I am really
stressing out over this!

I am sorry to hear you are so stressed about your upcoming surgery. I think most of us felt that way, no matter what our circumstances were, or what medical condition we had. A hysterectomy is major surgery, no matter how it's performed, so it's a "big event" no matter how you cut it!
