TAH scheduled, seeking a second opinion

So thankfully the pathology report was normal... I have endometrial polyps and fibroids with an enlarged uterus. I am scheduled for a TAH on January 26.

I am seeking a second opinion, since this dr. pretty much said hyster from the beginning, before the ultrasound or D&C and seems to anxious for surgery. She said Lap wasn't an option, but I don't think she even does lap.... Oh well the journey begins!

My pathology wasn't normal, my doctor made it sound like there weren't other options available other than TAH. I found out about the da Vinci laproscopy from here and did extensive research. I wasn't going to get a 2nd opinion but am now. Maybe your gyn doesn't have experience with other techniques. Anyway if it's not cancer and you have some time why not go for a 2nd opinion? Your surgery is a ways out and it could put your mind at ease.
