weight gain after complete hysterectomy

4 months after hysterectomy. having horrible migraines and weight gain. I've gained about 15 pounds already. Still walking and watching every bite that goes in my mouth. The Dr. said I would lose weight like crazy, hewas wrong.

Are you on any other types of medictations at the moment? Glad to hear you are walking. I had a ponch and still do ever since my hyster a year ago..it's nothing serious put I think it's there now. I have recently lost 14 lbs and I suggest keep up with the walking an hour a day, & watching the carbs...as in more salads...getting rid of white food. I buy weighwatchers bread & wraps & no low calorie foods go..for whole. Keep at it...the body goes through a lot after the surgery so hang in there!

hi im 7mths post TAH and i also gained weight after op but im glad to say its all falling of now started to lose it around 5/6mths didnt watch what i was eating but have just started running again which helps,hang in there i think the body just takes time to recover from op?good luck owls

Thanks for they well wishes! Now that summer's here and school is out maybe I can exercise more.
