dVH/RALH square peg round hole

I had a partial hyst, along with anterior/posterior repair. I was cleared for intercourse 2 weeks ago, however I have not been able to. The few attempts I've made have made me feel like I a tearing, and the anxiety of potential pain has been a real mood killer for me. I am grateful to my beloved patient, husband, but this is worrying me. My husband is significantly girthy, and we have tried "manual stretching" , boy was that uncomfortable. Any suggestions?
