tomorrow's the day girls

hi everyone. just a quick note to ask for thoughts and prayers. my SAH is tomorrow at noon EST and DH and I are headed to the castle at 10:30 am. A massage therapist is on her way to give me a massage and a slab of rainbow trout is waiting in the fridge for a nice dinner before my midnight cutoff. i've been close to tears three times today, but i think it's only from the surgery fear, not that i made the wrong decision. life will be different after tommorrow and i want to thank everyone for their fine posts that have helped me along the way. i'm about to review my living will and then try to relax for the rest of the evening. i just tried to write my DH a "just in case things don't turn out" letter -- you know, the one that starts, "if you're reading this, then i've crossed the rainbow bridge" but i started to cry, so i stopped writing it. i think i'll concentrate on giving him a tour of where my favorite things are instead. like, "here's where the peanut butter and skinny cows are stored" and "don't forget my weight watchers 2 point bars." he's so terrific. i can't tell you. and my beloved dog is sleeping at my feet. he knows something's been up today. my prayers are with you all for what you are about to experience. thanks, writer

Good luck on your castle day. You will be a soon. I am 7 weeks post and all the fears I had pre-op were fruitless. My experience and healing were good, even better than I expected. A few up and downs to deal with, but all in all a piece of cake. I have no regrets only a brighter future. Will keep you in my

The hardest part is almost over and soon you will be on the "better side". I remember those last 24 hours and how tearful I was at times. (I even thought about writing that letter too---but didn't)!

It's nice that you are starting your pampering early with a massage!! Sounds like you have a wonderful DH --- together you will get through tomorrow and then it will be on to recovery and healing and your new life.

Sending positive thoughts and prayers your way. You will be so relieved when you wake up after surgery tomorrow and know the worst is behind you. Drop back by when you feel up to it and let us know how you are.

LET THE PAMPERING BEGIN!
