Doing amazing well

[SIZE Well its been a week and a day since my operation. I feel amazingly well all things considered. From the pain to the hostpital stay, everything was only half as bad as what i was prepared for. Lets put it this way... How I felt the whole 4 days in the hostpital, it how I expected to feel by the time i got home. Already I am in and out of bed with no problems or help. I still cannot sleep on my sides, but that won't be too far off. the first two or three nights were a little tricky getting in and out of bed, but I think I did pretty darn well. I do find that I tire quickly, but once rested i feel even better than the day before. They did find cancer on my right ovary, but thank GOD and I do... it was caught at such an early stage that no kemo will be nessary. Although I don't think I am going to get hormone replacment therapy Oh well I will continue to count my blessings. MY biggest blessing are my wounderful family. I have to tell you about my two wonderful Boys, errr ahh Men. John 21, and Greg 20. They have been by me every step of the way. Greg made my first appt. for me to see a doc. went with me to all my appointments. Both were there before, durring and after my surgery. They were absolutly amazing. they would open my leg cuffs and rub and scratch my itching legs , god it felt like heaven. they were there to hold the tub to my face when i was sick, they were there feeding me ice at my request, they helped me in and out of bed as often as i needed (which was often) even complimented my tushy hanging out on occasion. they slept in a chair every night while still in the hostpital. I just can't say enough about the wonderful amazing men I raised. May God bless them always.I know how rare and wonderful they are.

Doing amazing well

Glad you are doing so well. I had tvh a day after you and like you I can get myself in and out of bed. The only problems I am finding is gas(very painful), constipation and night sweats. I do think that every day I feel a bit better. I just keep thinking 6 months down the line I will hopefully feel great.

yeah, night sweats are starting again, but I had them a good two to three years prior. Gas can be very bad at times too, but the worst is the constipation, what have you found helps get things moving better? they prescribed me colace to soften stools, but it's pretty clear that it's not working. Staples out tomorrow.
