Hysterectomy tomorrow (9/7)! Woke up sick today!

My hysterectomy is tomorrow morning, but this morning I've woke up with a sore throat and runny nose, I've had 3 of my 8 kids sick for the last few days and have doing my best to prevent catching it but now I'm worried that they won't operate on me if I have a head cold. My surgery was originally scheduled for 23 November! But after some medical issues it was brought forward to 7 September I'm scared they're going to have to move it back again now.

Re: Hysterectomy tomorrow! Woke up sick today!

Please try not to panic. I know it's been a rough go.

See if your doctor has an answering service to discuss this now. If you can't reach your doctor tonight, show up a bit earlier than your appointed time and immediately tell the medical staff in charge of your surgery - they will get in touch with the anethesiologist and doctor.

Many times surgery will still go on as planned.

Try to stay as calm as you can - drink pretty of water and get extra rest.

Hugs and best of luck.

As long as your chest isn't congested and you don't have a fever you should be OK. I would call and see what they say though.

This is my third surgery date. My son started school the first ak I sent him away to his grand mothers. He always gets sick with in the first few days of school.

Hysterectomy tomorrow (9/7)! Woke up sick today!

I just started feeling like I was getting on top of everything organised the kids and my grandfather and then this has just stressed me out, I can't get onto the dr and it's an hour and a half drive to the hospital so maybe showing up early is the best idea
