Upcoming hysterectomy 8/10 - nervous/ confused/ want to run away

Pre-op today - asked a lot of questions - feeling better about it all...... Thank you all for your replies, and sharing your very personal feelings and information! It really helps!

Hi Loonwatcher. I go in for pre op Tomo am. I am very anxious too. What did your dr give u for that ? Maybe I can ask mine Tomo for the same.

She gave me lorazepam- Ativan. She gave me 20! Dosage is 1 tablet up to 3 times a day. She warned me that it can be addictive. I don't like taking a lot of medication- but feel better just having it here. Good luck tomorrow !! We're going to be so much better soon.

Don't be afraid I'm 37 I had my second child August 2014 and from that day I was bleeding for 20 months I had my hysterectomy on the 23rd of June I had three very big fibroids and also multi small ones !! I'm so glad to have stop bleeding and to get all those fibroids out of me I kept my ovaries I was a nervous wreak the weeks before op its natural no matter what people said to me I was just so afraid but trust me you will feel so much better after your surgery!!!
