Hi everyone,
Well I talked to my regular doctor today and heard more news on my condition. I wasnt all there when I had my surugry done this past Tuesday. i found out today that my endometriosis is considered Excessive. It is the worst case my GYN has ever seen and he has been a GYN for a while now. I was given Lypro or howeever you spell it butall in all I know it is almost 1 week of having it but I know this much it has just made the pain worse. I was told today I might be off work untill they get the hyst done that I do need a hyst the question is when Illbe approved because of my age and insurance ...my comment is when the shot costs 850 dollars a MONTH and with all the money i have spent in pain killers and loss of work I believe it be in everyones best intrest to allow the hyst before it goes anywhere else in my body like my heart lings things like that. Yes I understand it might not take it away and it may grow back but it is a chance Im willing to take. Also when I had my appendix out ..I was told today that he should have also seen it then but never mentioned it to anyone I feel very violated right now any help be great even words of encouragement. I have appointment to see my GYN on this coming tuesday so Ill keep you all informed Just wanted a few views on all of this Thanks everyone

Talk to your dr about what is best for you. Get a second opinion. Having more than one physican saying you need a hyst can also help your insurance company approve your hyst.

And since endo can be microscopic in its earliest stages and not all physicians are trained to detect endo, yes, it can be missed.

And some women do find that they feel worse initially with Lupron so hopefully things get better for you soon. My guess is your dr is trying to decrease the endo implants prior to your hyst to make things a bit easier.

Many best wishes to you! I hope things go smoothly!

Thanks Ya I have seen a specialist before and that is when I found out I have IBS syndrome and I am really upset about the whole fact when I brought up the pain where my ovaries were that hurt worse than my stomach he didnt even explore that issue. My docor is great and he felt that there was more to everything that is why I got the second opinion toa GYN. Like I said before I see the gyn who has a lot of experience with Endo on Tuesday the 3rd of October. I was told by my doctor he will call him after my appointment to discuss everything . I am almost in tears wondering if I am ever going to get my life back I am spose to get married in April and all I want is to be able to enjoy the best day of my life. Which yes I understand that a hyst doesnt mean it will take it away but I want the chance to try to make sure it doesnt get worse and affect any more of my organs. I am too the point where my pain killers barely work I want to just cry all the time At times I wanna give up I am afraid of disappointing my boss witht eh chance of me not being able to work for a while and I cant even do things with my kids which is killing me inside I think over n over that I ama failure in every aspect. I pray every night that something works and to let me be the person I was before or to at least get the chance to try it and hope it works
Thanks so much for the support

(((Memerized))),

I'm so sorry you feel like you are. Definitely tell your doctor they can give you something for that. Also ask your doctor about the pain. Some of the medications cause a surge in estrogen which causes the pain. And then it drops off.

The 3rd of Oct is pretty close. Go to the doctor with an open mind. Endo specialists know what we go through and they give us options and let us make choices.

I understand what you are saying about the medications being expensive. I have felt just like you are. I agree with Weiser that the insurance company tends to look at those things.

One suggestion.. Write down what medications, what surgeries, that you are looking for relief for your symptoms. I did that for my doctor. I also told him I wasn't interested in conservative treatments to preserve my fertility. He read that and didn't really look at the paper work I had to fill out. It made talking to him easier since I wrote down what I wanted to accomplish.

Please call your doctor and ask him/her about the pain and how your feeling mentally.

date change

Well the date has changed for when I see the Dr again. As I said before it was October 3rd but now it has changed to October 10th. Nothing like waiting more. I dont know what Dr tot alk about the pain and emotions to. Do I talk to my family Dr or the gyn? Here is another thing I woke up and I am not sure if I have a cold or somthing else I am taking oxycodene and not sure if I can take anything with that. I feel very bad today worse than normal with whatever I caught it sems to make the pains alot sharper Should I try n get an appointment or try an over the counter medicine for a cold? I just dont want to hurt myself by makin the wrong choice I thought I get some advice before i made the wrong choice. I hope my boss understands that I cant work being oin these pain pills and that I still have a job whenever i get back. I am trying to stay strong but it is getting very hard to do to all thanks for all the support I really need it right now
I was also wondering the hormone shots they give you make you feel like you have hot flashes mood swings ...well what is the differance why they would be concerned if I went into menapause early if the meds do it anyway? I am so confused and worried about this endo growing on other parts of my organs like my heart ect....does anyone know if that is a rare occurance? Or is it somthing to really worry about since I have this so bad? Thanks for all the advice and if it is ok Id like to keep in touch with you all so I can stay strong throuigh it all
Thank you so much

(((Jodie))),

If I were you I would call the doctor you've been seeing that gave you the medication you are on. Ask the about over the counter medications you can take as well. There are side effects from over the counter medication and they can counter act other medications. Also tell him about how you are feeling emotionally as well.

I'm sorry to hear that you have to wait another week to see the doctor. in there.

The questions about endo can be different for everyone. I haven't heard of it being on hearts, but there probably is a chance. Ask you doctor about your risks. Try not to think of the worse case senario. There are always odd stories now and then. They aren't the norm.

With the medications that cause menopause they believe they are safe. Some women who have a tah/bso have to estrogen replacement while others find what works for them. That is something else to discuss with you doctor. Have a plan, but be willing to change it or start something different.

I hope this is making sense to you. If I can be of more help feel free to pm me.
