Tender belly still???

Hello everyone,
I am 6 weeks post op and will be returning to work tomorrow. Overall I feel good but still get tired easily. My stomach directly below my belly button is sore to press on it and just very sensitive.... also near my bikini incision it hurts in the evenings. I still have substantial swelling by the end of the day. I saw my doctor today and he said everything looked good. My question is: were there others at 6 weeks that still had tenderness in the belly? How long do you think that will last? Thank you for your responses.

Tender belly still???

Hi BKozar-I am 4 months out and still have areas of numbness, soreness and swelling. Most of the swelling is at the end of the day. Some days I don't have any. It all depends on how much I am on my feet. I also sit at a desk for part of my day. I usually don't notice the numbness and soreness unless I happen to press my belly against something suddenly. Everyone heals differently. My doctor told me it could take up to a year to be back to normal. He also told me I may always have some numbness. Hang in there. I can't believe how much better I feel. Once I hit the 4 month mark, it is like everything just feels better.
