LAVH 6 weeks post hysterectomy: Vaginal Burning Sensation

I'm 6 week post lavh (appt Thursday), type 1 diabetic, anyway burning sensation in vagina ( not consistently) for 3 weeks, is that part of healing or infection

If I were you I would have it checked by a Dr.
Burning feeling may be part of the healing..but then again it could be an infection, only by having the necessary test will you know for sure..
Just so you understand why I'm saying this....I suspected I had a urinary track infection 2 days post op, due to an intermittent burning/tingling feeling around my vagina(particularly when my blader was full) Two Drs at the hospital said that it was just that area being sensitive after the op. Long story short... A week later I was on antibiotics for a UTI.
These things can turn nasty over night.

Granulation tissue might also be a possibility - let us know what your dr says.
