3 mos post op/bleeding after sex

Well, here's a new one for me....last weekend after sex (not extremely wild sex, either) I started bleeding light pink...it's continued off and on for 6 days - not really much, but it's definitely blood and it's more than just a little spotting. No pain. We used a lubricant.

I'm on testosterone, but I have definitely lost my MOJO...I go through the motions even though it feels like a part of my life I really enjoyed is definitely not as good as before.... I could care less about having sex, once involved I do get aroused. Now this....

Has anyone else had it? I know I should go to the dr. and I will - I just want some feedback from some of you who have experienced this bleeding at 3 mos. before.

Taking testosterone and herbal supplements

Hi Texas Teacher--we have the same surgery date. I also had the same problem and talked to the doctor's office on Tuesday. I was told this could happen for up to a year due to fragile tissues and as long as it's less than a shot glass worth of blood not to worry. Please check with your doc since they all have different views. I totally trust mine and have no other problems to speak of but you should see what yours has to say. Good luck!

I'm sorry you're having to deal with the bleeding. I notice you do not have your ovaries. Are you taking estrogen or just the testosterone?

I'm not on any HRT and have vaginal dryness due to lack of estrogen (it started in menopause a few years before my surgery) which I treat with RePlens (doctor recommended). When I don't keep up the applications, I have some spotting after intercourse. The dry tissues become quite fragile and small tears can happen even during the gentlest intimate activities, even using lubricant.

Check with your doctor about dryness - it can be treated with local applications of estrogen or with RePlens, an OTC longer term moisturiser. Your doctor can also check for granulation tissue around your vaginal cuff which can also cause bleeding.
