One ovary left and producing cyst?

Just wanted to ask if any of you have had one ovary left and had complications of it overproducing and making cyst? My left one is and I have on now the size of a small plum. My doc. says it's too early to see if this is going to be a problem, but a chance in four or five months we have to just go ahead and take that ovary too. I am 3 wks. post, LSH, right ovary removed all due to severe endo, adhesions and ovarian cysts. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if so, would you please share your experience and knownledge about this. I'm worried about the endo. now because he said my left ovary was really putting out the estrogen right now, in fact, he said my estrogen levels were probably higher now than before the surgery because of everything in shock and the left ovary trying to overcompensate. Estrogen is what feeds endo. and I'm scared if any was left in there it's spreading again like wildfire. Praying it's not! I'll just keep praying God heals this ovary and it works like it should, no more surgeries and no more pain. He was faithful in shrinking my blood clot and I know He is able to heal me in this too...if it is His will. Please pray for me as I will be praying for all of you!!

One ovary left and producing cyst?

Pretty in Pink-
I had a cyst on an ovary found in Dec. By surgery in June it had reabsorbed. I pray yours will too.
I am worried about endo coming back too. I kept both ovaries. I have had trouble though because I am estrogen overboard! I don't ovulate on my own, so no progesterone to balance the effects of the estrogen. I plan to discuss that with the Dr. this Fri. at my 6 wk check up. How did they test your estrogen level? I have read a bit here at HS and elsewhere about the Prog. cream or gel. Will ask about that.
I am 38, so a long way from natural menapause. I don't want the endo back for sure!!
Think shrinking thoughts! I think ovarian cysts are more common than people once thought. I hope yours will go away!!

One ovary left and producing cyst?

Hi,
Yes, I had the same thing happen to me. I had severe right sided pain, but the internal scan showed it as the size of a pea. But my sex drive skyrocketed. However I had severe adhesions and 6 months after surgery I had to go back in to remove the adhesions that had mangled my colon & bowels cauing severe incontinence.
When they got in there, the Cyst was actually the size of a Grapefruit & covered my entire left side, The scan did not show the entire thing. They had to remove it before it burst along with my last Ovary.
It grew so fast nobody knew what was happening, However I never had Endo. But as for the Estrogen, yes, mine did indeed SkyRocket, I knew this due to the fact that after my Hysterectomy I was waking up hubby all hours in the night (in the mood). Didn't really care how sleepy he was.
Boy, those were the days .
Good luck to you, I have heard some of them reabsorb on thier own, actually every month a normal women will have several during her period, which is why the sex drive goes up at that time. But they diminish when it is over.
The best of luck to you.
