So uncomfortable :(
Was wondering if anyone else has or is experiencing this. Yesterday I had terrible pain, all day, on my lright side. Think I read once where pain on one side is coming from the other side. I have ovarian cyst on my left side and fibroids on right. Every time I would get up, I would have this pain.
Also, my stomach seemed so swollen last night and I hardly eat at all. They said, my uterus is enlarged could this be causing this?
Thanks all!

So uncomfortable :(
Hi I have pain in my right side all the time too. My D&C last summer showed that my ovaries are fine but that I have "multiple" fibroids. My doctor can't really explain this continuous pain in my right side (its not horrible but its constant and occasionally a "shooting" type pain) but believes the fibroids are probably involved in some way. I'm also very bloated feeling most of the time. Sounds like we'll both be looking forward to some relief! Good luck!

Pain on the right?
Mine is on the left side! I don't know what it's all about and sometimes it's like a stabbing pain, that goes away as fast as it came. I felt somewhat relieved to hear my doc say that he'd be looking around at other organs when he does the laparoscopy. Hey, you know, while you're in there, take advantage of the situation right? As far as I know I don't have fibroids though. I have times when I feel pretty bloated too and like you I am looking forward to getting this over with. My date is the 4th of April if all goes well, seems everyone around me has a cold. Best of luck with your surgery!

Me too
OMG This sounds like me. I am so bloated that nothing feels comfortable anymore except sweats. I too have fibroids and right side pain that goes down the leg with an occasional "JAB". It is such a relief to know others experience the same thing we do. The mind starts to wonder sometimes.
I am O- so grateful for this website and all my new sisters.

ask the doc....
Before you write off the pain, have you asked the doctor specifically about this particular pain?
It sounds an awful lot like the 'unexplained' pains I had pre-hyst. I had my hyst for bleeding due to fibroids, but after surg noticed certain other things didn't hurt anymore, and I can only assume the fibroids were causing more than I was aware of. They grow over time, and the symptoms come on gradually. I also had the stabbing, migrating pain mfh describes. It would wrap around my thighs from my lower back. Interestingly, this is a thing of the past with removal of the offending uterus along with it's little friends.....hope you get the relief I have had!

So uncomfortable :(
I get pain sometimes on one side at a time or my whole abdomen. I have new fibroids (I had 3 removed last year by a myomectomy). Pain went away until new ones grew back 7 months later. My TAB/BSO is scheduled for 4/25 and I can't wait. I also have had endo removed twice and I have been told that some of my thigh pain is related to endo. I think its all interrelated, just can't wait to get everything out. Right now I am ovulated and my abdomen is so bloated and hard, and my 14 year old daughter kept telling me I must be pregnant. I pain and pressure is so annoying. It seems to take over my whole life. Pain medicine helps but I've been addicted in the past from my pain from Crohn's disease and fibroid pain. Good luck!

off with the uterus!
Hello, I am so glad to hear that this pain will probably end once the 'offending uterus and its little friends' are gone. I can't even explain the discomfort to anyone because you know how "they" think: If I can't see anything wrong with you physically, it must not be that bad. I don't care anymore what others who haven't been through this say or think, I will just be pain free and so grateful. Those of you who are post and tell us LIW how great you feel and the chronic pain is gone: Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. Keep up the good work and I'll be back to help after April 10th! Love, MeNancy

So uncomfortable :(
When I went in for my surgery, all we knew about were multiple fibroids. I had pain in the right side and there were no cysts or other problems visualized on ultrasound. Post op, the pathology report revealed adenomyosis and several different types of ovarian cysts. In fact, the right tube had completely dissintigrated... something else not picked up on ultrasound. Also there were some nasty adhesions which can also be quite painful.
In other words, you don't completely know what you're dealing with until they get inside and your "innards" have been examined by the pathologist before they're tossed.
After the surgery, I asked my doctor about what she found and all she said was fibroids and lots and lots and lots of adhesions. It wasn't until after I requested a copy of the pathology report that I learned exactly what was going on. I highly recommend getting a copy of that bad boy as soon as possible following your surgery and ask your gyn and the net as references for deciphering it.
Good luck.

So uncomfortable :(
I too get that right sided ovarian pain. I never mentioned this to my doctor until my pre op appointment because I wanted to make sure he gets a good look at that ovary, if it is even coming from an ovary. It isn't a pain to where I need to take medication, but it is there. He asked me when it occurs, I told him during my periods. He said it might be some endo We won't know until the surgery and the path report. As Grandmeow said, they don't really know until they get in there and look around and esp when we get our pathology report. Tests can miss so much it seems. I hope to see what has been causing my right sided pain too.
Best wishes

Hi everyone
Whew, sure is good to know I'm not the only one but wish no one had to go through this. Okay, will look forward to these symptoms being over with surgery and will definitely ask for that report - never even thought of asking for that.
To all the LIW heading to the castle before me, I wish you an uneventful surgery & looking forward to hearing back from you.
To the others, thank you so much for being here.
