3 years post hysterectomy stage 1b1 cervical cancer. severe right lower pain normal?

Hi
I had stage 1b1 cervical cancer in feb 2008. all my checkups have been clear.
Over the last week have had major right pelvic pain and was rushed to hospital where they were going to operate thinking it was my appendix.
Before i got to surgery, whatever it was burst and the pain went from a 10 down to a 5 . over next 24 hours pain gone.

Was wondering if this was common in radical hysterectomies? IE: because i have ovaries but nothing else, maybe its more common for eggs to get stuck in the ovary or more common for cysts to form?

Any ideas would be helpful.
I am going to my gyno next week just to have scans run as a precaution, but until then just wondered if anyone could help
thanks
deb

If you still have your ovaries you could still get cysts on your ovaries. I'm glad you have an apt with your Gyn just to be sure. Best wishes!
