pain after orgasm

My husband and I have not been cleared for intercourse yet but we recently engaged in outercourse and I had pain after I had an orgasm that continued for hours. Is that normal?

I am having tenderness as well. It does go away in my case and is getting better every day. Hopefully it's just tenderness like I am having which my dr said is normal.

Pain lasting for hours after an orgasm likely is not normal. Has your doctor cleared you for outercourse? Some docs insist on complete pelvic rest for 8 weeks because the contractions produced by an orgasm can irritate the surgical area. You should give your doc a call to let him/her know you have had this problem. It may be that it could indicate an issue that needs to be treated, or it may indicate that you need to have more time to heal. Take care and keep us posted.
