Post TAH... lump in abdomen

Total Hysterectomy October 5
There is now a lump like the size of a golf ball in the pit of my stomach. About two inches above my belly button.

You can feel it underneath and a little to the right. What the heck is that????

I can't rest my laptop on my stomach anymore when I lay down... its uncomfortable and I've recovered so well from the TAH except for this development.

It was never there before. DH says my organs have dropped down and filled in the space, so maybe its my pancreas or Duodenum, whatever that is!

Ideas please, I see GYN on 29th Nov.

Could be a herniated muscle. I'd definitely see the doc before the 29th, because if it is herniated and becomes strangulated it could really become critical.

Really, I would try to call the doctors office. Better safe then sorry. I'm sure it's nothing scary, probably more of the healing process. But, I really think you should not wait until the 29th to find out. Maybe call the nurse line from your insurance, if you have a nurse line on the back of the card tonight. If you don't want to bother your doctor over the weekend. The nurse line can tell you if you should call your doctor. Ease your mind for the weekend!!
And, keep us posted on how you are doing?

Thanks, I will.
Could be a twisted intestine or some weird thing.

Post TAH... lump in abdomen

Lump turned out to be nothing more than scar tissue from the old fashioned gall bladder surgery I had back in 1989 or so. no big deal, not bothering me at all.
