Came home the next day! Post TVH

Hello Ladies,

I went in for surgery 6:15 am, actual surgery 8:45 am, all I remember is the nurse waking me to let me know I was done,and I went home 7:00 pm the next day. Yes I felt that good. Even today I have to remind myself that my body has gone thru major surgery and needs to heal. I barely take the pain meds because I have minimal pain. I'm talking slight cramping and no where near the menstrual cramps I endured. I'm ready to go! To all Ladies in waiting, you are going thru the hardest part. The waiting is bananas! So try not to stress yourself out worrying. You are doing the right thing by reading the first hand experiences of those who have already gone thru the surgery. Thank Goodness for HysterSisters. Words dont exist for me to express how much I appreciate the encouragment empathy and support. My prayers for you all to continue on a speedy path of recovery.

I also had a TVH. My surgery was at 11:00 am and I was home by 11:30 A.M. the next day!! Once the Dr. released me the nurses were on me to leave because they needed my bed!! I felt great too for the first 3 days (no pain meds) then I developed a bladder infection that put me down for a few days. Now after 2 weeks and a few days, I am pretty much back to normal, still a little tired around 2 p.m. Glad you are feeling well too!

I was in at 6:30...surgery at 8:00 a.m. and home the next day by about 10:30! It was so nice to be home...took a nice long nap (it's the only day I took a really long nap), talked with my family...it was so nice to be home!
