Surgery Friday June 7th

Hi

Kinda scared as to what will happen after the surgery. I understand my surgeon is doing a laproscopic assisted vaginal hysterectomy.

I'm seeing my family doctor today for another issue. I had an abscess last year, and the site has recently reopened. Not sure if this will have an impact on my surgery. I just want to get it over with ... I've been on Lupron for 3 months, and don't want to prolong my exposure to that drug. I guess I'll know more in a few hours.

Hoping that I can go through with surgery just to finally get it over with.

I'm having surgery because of uncontrollable bleeding due to fibroids.

Sorry if my post sounds a bit discombobulated ... my attention span lately has been about that of a gnat. So thanks for listening

I hope your appointment goes well and you can go ahead with your surgery as planned. I think waiting might be one of the worst parts. I have been lucky and only had to wait 3 weeks. They orginally told me it would be over a month and I started crying in the office. So I hope for the best outcome for you

Wishing you all the best. Waiting sucks. I had the same surgery done less than two weeks ago, I will say it was a breeze compared to what I felt every month. You can make recovery easier on yourself if you really take it easy and do nothing. I had almost no pain after surgery and the nurses were insisting I take more than 2 reg Tylenols, but I didn't need it. Relax it will make it better before hand.

Thank you Nikki, Salem and Lainey I appreciate all of your kind words. Still haven't heard back from my doctor as to what she and my gyno have decided about surgery. Hopefully soon ... I hate waiting!

My surgery is going ahead as planned. Nervous, but also really anxious to start feeling better. Whooop! Got my hair cut today so I wouldn't have to deal with it after surgery. I think I was almost more nervous about the cut than I am about surgery lol. So all systems are GO.
