No time to freak out..

Hi Sisters- Well I started finding out I needed a hyst on May 12 by my doc, who sent me to a gyn/surg who I met with yesterday. She says I have a fibroid tumor the size of a cantaloupe a cervix the size of a 5 month pregnant woman 2 ovarian cysts, one the size of an orange and another small one. WOW! That was alot of information all at once. I'm growing a fruit cart in my abdomen.

Anyway she was fabulous and spent 90 minutes talking to me about literally everything. I went in there with my list of questions (most from reading this site). I feel very comfortable with her. She set me up for surgery on June 1st. Can you believe it! 5 days from today. I have my pre-op saturday with no bowel prep.

She says surgery should go just fine, about 1 1/2 hours and I should be home by friday if all goes well.

So not much time to freak, very busy 3 day weekend coming up and then I'm off to the castle.

I'll be thinking of all my castle mates. My prayers are with you.

No time to freak out..

Hi Robin!

It sounds to me like you are well-prepared and in a good frame of mind. We'll be thinking of you on your "big day!" I'm betting that you'll feel a lot better after you rid yourself of the "fruit cart!"

Best wishes to you!

No time to freak out..

I know a lot of envious women on this site! LOL! I'm glad it'll be done and over with quickly for you. And you do sound so balanced about it. I'm anxious to get rid of my rotting fruit, too!

And just out of curiousity, has anyone else with large fibroids/cysts completely lost their appetite? Since this all started 6 weeks ago for me with the kidney stuff, I have gradually lost my appetite. Certain smells make me nauseous, I often get nauseous after I eat.

Since the mass already has my bladder smashed down to the pelvic floor, I'm wondering if it's starting to expand up and pressing on my stomach? I'm losing weight pretty quick, and never have any energy.
