Six mths next week & painful i/c

I think I should be posting in sexual dysfunction but as I'm under a week from falling into the six month category the website won't let me
If there are any of you lovely ladies with my timeline I would appreciate some advice as my problem isn't something I can ask friends!
Generally, I am really pleased with my recovery, my strength is back, I have energy to burn, I am no longer anaemic, libido has returned, all activities back to normal etc BUT (did you know there would be a but?) I have a sore spot "inside". I did have granulation at 2mths which was treated and intercourse hasn't been too uncomfortable, but I have manouvred DH so we only use positions with shallow penetration.
I had to see my GP on an unrelated matter yesterday, so asked him when the pain would cease. He said I should have been ok by 3mths and suggested if this is bothering me I should be referred back to my Surgeon.
I don't want to do this if I can avoid it, so am wondering if anyone has any clues on what my problem might be? I tried to feel for myself, but just hit one spot that is sore. I asked DH to do the same, and he said it feels like a "pimple" at the cuff. Is this possible?
I really, really hope this is going to go away on its own but at 6mths I am starting to feel pessimistic.
Anyway for what its worth, can anyone advise?
cheers

Six mths next week & painful i/c

At my first repair, many many years ago I developed a pilonidal cyst at the entrance to the vagina, which involved surgery about a year later.I put up with that for a year before I had my doctor look at it. I really wish I had had it done earlier, as it was affecting DH as well.It was a cyst around a stitch or a hair follicle and its removal was pretty painless with a very quick recovery.

Now, I am almost 11 weeks after a recocele repair and still have a very sore spot with a bit of green discharge at times. I have had it tested and it came back normal...but it worries me that this is happening again, so I will go back.

Yours could be a cyst..I would have it checked out. xx

dinkydi - I was referred to the other thread (granulation at 7 months) yesterday and then came across this post today. I am wondering the same thing about pain with granulation, but no spotting. There is only one spot that hurts with deep penetration, it is not all the way across the top of the vaginal cuff, only on the right side. I am not sure if I even have granulation, however it seems to be one of the only things that makes sense to me. The doctor could "sort of" replicate the pain during a manual exam at the end of March, and truly replicated the pain when she did the vault smear - yowch! pain was also replicated during a recent transvaginal ultrasound, and the tech said it was my ovary. are you going back to see your surgeon then? I am booked in to see my family doc on Thursday to discuss ultrasound results with him. Let me know how you're doing if you get a chance.

Karen
(PS, I posted my ?? on the road less travelled and it got moved over to post op, so I guess being well over six months out we can still post here?)
