How soon until I get a surgery date?

hi, i called my doctor on monday this week and confirmed i wanted to have the hysterectomy... how long does it take on average before the doctors office call you back with the surgery date????? im anxiously and nervously waiting.. ugh...

I met my Dr one Monday, his office got the date that day, & he operated the next.

I think it depends totally on the doc. I know that mine had to check surgery schedule at hospital,put in request, wait for availability and then call me to see if date was ok. I think it probably took them about four days to call me back. If you don't hear from them, just give the office a call early next week to check. Sending hugs.

You did not have to do any pre-op blood work or anything?

Dr did a biopsy on the first meeting, then did admissions, blood work & EKG the next day.

thanks... i guess im just nervous and anxious to actually hear a date..lol
