Unable to pass urine

Had my hysterectomy 27th Sept 2011,and from the moment I had it done I was struggling to pass urine, catheter after catheter, 3 x dilation and still no cure, I ended up with superpubic catheter fitted last June, been to London and they have recommended sacral nerve remodulation, just had second opionion at Eastbourne and he is going to stretch to the max under general!! Anyone else had these problems??

Re: Unable to pass urine

Oh thanks that's so kind! It's just so frustrating that no one can give me answers, I puzzle all consultants and professors, I always passed urine slowly since a child so they think once womb was taken away that acts like a shelf to the bladder, it just couldn't cope, I just hope on the 22nd July either Mr Moore stretching urethra to the max, or he finds another reason why under general, he did talk about if this fails then to use my appendix as a urethra from bladder to outside wall of tummy and I can use catheter when bladder full, but is that any better than a superpubic? No pain I suppose from the 12 weekly change that is horrendous can't explain how much pain it is when the tube is pulled through, not from hole in tummy, it's at top of pubic bone, pass put pain, he injects to numb all of tummy but it doesn't work, he thinks this is nerve pain from hysterectomy scar all nerves have grouped together. Nevermind hopefully will be sorted soon, thanks for your kind words xxx
