Hemorrhagic mass

Hello!

I am new and am soooo glad I found this site! I am 38 yo, and have been having a terrible time with my periods for the last 3 years. I have periods that last up to 14 days with clotting and cramps. I have horrible PMS, with depression and anxiety that would last that entire time also. My original MD, wanted to put me on Provera to help the bleeding, but instead I got a second opinion. The second doctor did a Pelvic ultrasound that found Fibroids, a enlarged uterus, thickend endometrium , but seemed a little more concerned with the fact that I had a "hemorragic mass of my left Ovary. I am scheduled for a CT scan this tuesday, and am wondering it anyone could share their experiences of this condition with me. I hear that these are usually benign...

Any Comments for me?

Hemorrhagic mass

Hi

I'm not sure exactly what a Hemorrhagic mass is. I had an ablation last October that was initially successful, but by the end of the year I was having terrible pelvic pain. I had 2 ultrasounds which showed a mass in the right adnexa, one theory was that it was a haemorrhage in the fallopian tube, (my right ovary was removed 23 years ago, but the tube remained).
I had run out of options for all my problems, so a hyst was decided on. The mass turned out to be the tube, which was very swollen and was stuck to my uterus and the pelvic wall.
Hope the scan goes well Tuesday and gives you more information.

Hemorrhagic mass

I am not sure what kind of mass you are talking about? But I have had to be rushed to the hospital because of a grapefruit sized mass on my left ovary. Luckily they gave me some I.V. meds that reduced the mass and I was able to go home.

It is true that there are people like me that get enlargements around thier ovaries many times before your period and they will
subside after. I hope that your mass will come out okay!!
I know that it can be worrisome though. My mom and grandma both died of ovarian cancer. I am glad that there has been some improvement of treatment for this disease. That is good just in case?

Sending good wishes and thougths your way!!

Take Care! Grey Lover(:>)=<

Thank you for responding. I will find out more hopefully this week. I just want to feel better, and I know that I will soon. This web site has been such a help to me, and I know there will be several more questions in the future.
