Hello ladies, its been a while and mentally I have not felt better in years... I am now 8 mths post op as of Dec 25th I have a few questions. I sweat alot in my private area and I am wondering if anyone else who has kept their ovaries experiences this? I am also experiencing a nasty odor after intercourse and sometimes during the day ..I have no signs of infection and I have been working very hard to stay fresh. I have never had this problem b4 surgery. I do not douche as per doctors orders. PLease help I am going Thanks!

I would go in to see the dr. I did not have any odors, but there possibly could be something else going on or maybe a bacterial infection.

I hope you can find some answers soon.

I too sweat terribly; doesnt matter what time of year it is..ugh!
I've been reassured its nothing other than a nuisance. I find wearing a panty liner helps with feeling fresh.

The odor sounds like it might be a sign of something more significant. Are you sure its not just the effects of sweating? Either way, it might be a good idea to atleast call your Dr for his/her input.

good luck

Back from the doctor

Thanks for the response girls ... I had my Dr's appt at 2pm today and lucky me I have some Bacterial Vaginosis. SOoooooo 7 days of anti-biotics and I'll see how things turn out. As far as my libido she said from the way I was speaking she can tell my mind is racing @ 100 mph and that its probably stress. I'll keep ya updated though!

infection

I had that nasty oder, too. Mine was a bacterial infection also and had meds. for 7 days. Mine happened 2 weeks post-op. I also sweat alot down there and I am in Phoenix, Az., So you can imagine how difficult it is to keep FRESH. I use baby wipes every time I use the bathroom and several times a day, it helps with the sweaty oder. Baby powder scented seems to help. Also, I use Gold Bond powder and put in the groin area. Hope it helps. Be careful with powder around your vagina, the dust can get up there. Some Drs. and studies say it can cause internal cancer.
