Question of sexual nature

I am almost 10wks post-op, and things are great. (a little bumpy the first few wks though) Anyways, at 6wks, I got clearance from my doc to start returning to everything. My bf and I have always had a healthy sex life....5-6 times a wk. This wk however, something is wrong. After intercourse on Monday night, I noticed a small amount of spotting Tuesday morning. It didn't last long, so I kinda put it on the back burner. Well, Wednesday night, after everything, I got up and went to the washroom. I noticed I was bleeding, and went back into the bedroom....there I stand, crying uncontrollably, telling him to get up because I had to change the bedding. The look on his face was priceless. Needless to say, he won't come near me now. The bleeding wasn't extremly heavy, but lasted through the night. Now there is spotting every so often. But, there is no pain with it......has anyone else gone through something like this, and does anyone have any advice?

Question of sexual nature

I haven't had any spotting or bleeding of any kind. Contact your doctor, though this is probably just related to healing, some granulation tissue that might have to be treated in your doctor's office.

Question of sexual nature

my doc warned me to expect bleeding the first few times. I didn't have it...but we were extremely careful. My husband was kind of scared I think. Afraid of hurting me. I would suggest you make sure you give it a few days of healing before you try again. If the bleeding after sex doesn't stop soon though, I'd call the doctor. Good luck.

Sounds like granulation to me too. It's upsetting, I know but not serious. Granulation is normal, although not everyone gets it. Call your doc and please let us know how you are!

Question of sexual nature

I had a little spotting the first few times, but nothing of note. You should check with your Dr. to be sure. It is probably within normal limits, but you will want to make sure.

Question of sexual nature

I have not had spotting, however, my doctor told me if I did after sex to call and let him know. I know about the "he won't come near me bit"...been there done that. My DH is over it now. Hang in there!

Question of sexual nature

I had my TAH on March 7th, 2007 for adenomyosis, and fibroids, keeping ovaries. Have never had any spotting. Got clearance yesterday to resume normal "activities". Have read though that there might be some bleeding first few times. Will find out someday I hope. Funny how when husband couldn't have sex it was all he wanted and now that we have the go ahead,,,he doesn't. I suppose we are both alittle nervous and not really pushing it for now. Hugs to everyone

Question of sexual nature

I think it is normal to be nervous the first time after such a major surgery - I know I was and DH keep asking me if I was okay - I wasn't really in the mood to talk at that time
