How many times do you follow up after hysterectomy

So I am so confused. I had my 3 week post op with my surgeon. He looked at my incisions and said they looked good and I was free to go..
I had to ask him if they found adeno like we suspected.. I asked him what I am free to do. He doesn't talk much.
After I left I realized he never said anything about coming back.
How often do you follow up?

First you should have gotten a copy of the pathology report. If not, ask for it.

I had a 4 week and go back at 12 weeks. Because I had cancer but no treatment I will be going back for checkups but do not know how often yet. Will find out next month.

I had a 2 week to remove staples, a 6 week scheduled and a few more because of an infection. As well as a week in the hospital for infection.

I had checkups at 2 and 4 weeks. I go back in a year unless I have a problem.

I saw the dr at 1, 3 & 7 weeks. I have a six month follow up scheduled. He said after that then once a year.
