Tampon feeling

My Dr. just looked at me after she did a pelvic as if I had asked the dumbest question ever...and said maybe I was feeling some swelling in the vaginal area. That was about 3 weeks post-op...now at 10 weeks I don't have that feeling anymore.

Tampon feeling

I had that feeling or rather that of a ball up inside the third week post op. I also had my followup with Dr a couple of days after this feeling started. My Dr also looked confused and he was very experienced with Lap surgeries. Since I had an LSH and kept my cervix I thought something might be wrong with the healing since they cauterize that so I wouldn't have mini periods. He said it was healed and gave me the all clear for anything including sex!

He suggested I soak in a tub and that should help any swelling left. I did that the following day. Perhaps by coincidence the feeling went away around day 5. Other than that I had a little discomfort sitting at my computer until the end of the third week.

So I think it may have been vaginal tissues that were swollen. I do know what you mean. It wasn't painful but made me feel anxious not knowing if it was normal. Anyway it cleared up and now the swelly belly is finally starting to decrease also and am amazed six weeks passed already.

Good luck.
