10 minute appointment??
I was told this is how long my appointment was scheduled for Thurs. Is this long enough for him to do an internal exam and answer 10 questions? It doesn't seem possible does it? I asked her should I schedule an appointment for just my questions but she didn't understand so I gave up. lol
I think she is wrong though. The last time I was there I know I waited in a room for him for at least 20 minutes while he was with another patient.

10 minute appointment??
At the medical clinic I go to, (my family physician) there are two lengths of appointments scheduled for patients: 10 minutes, and 40 minutes. One time, I asked my doctor why there were, for example, no "20-minute appointment slots" and here's how he explained it to me:
He said that sometimes, his meeting with a patient only takes 5 minutes. (Keep in mind that one of his assistants has already taken temperature and blood pressure, asked some questions, etc.) So, after accomplishing what he needs to in 5 minutes, he has 5 minutes "extra time" as leeway for the next patient.
Don't worry about the stated time length of your appointment. I'm sure there is some flexibility involved, if needed. My internal exam to check the healing of my vaginal cuff only took about 15 seconds...my gynecologist inserted the speculum, looked, took the speculum out and told me I was A-OK.
Many s and Best Wishes,

10 minute appointment??
Yeah, I had no idea how long the exam would take. Maybe he won't be doing it yet. I guess I won't know until then. That's why I called and asked should I scedule an appointment for just my questions but the lady at the desk is so incompetent it isn't even funny. She didn't understand what I meant so I gave up. lol
He usually takes his time anyway regardless of the claimed length of the sceduled appointment. I've never left there feeling like my questions weren't answered.

10 minute appointment??
I just had my 6 week check up and was surprised at how fast it went. The internal was very quick and then he took the time to answer my questions. I did not feel rushed, but was rather surprised at how fast the actual appointment was. But then again I have had no problems what so ever. Good luck!

10 minute appointment??
I go in tomorrow. I'll post and let you know how it goes. I have some questions about tummy tucks. I want to see if he does them because if he does then that would be who I would want to do it.

10 minute appointment??
I think you'll find he will take whatever time you need. Just let him know you have a list of questions and that you have been looking forward to getting the answers. I am always patient when I wait long past my appointment time for a dr. because I figure someone else had an unanticipated list of questions. This time it is YOUR TURN!
