Over doing it too soon

Why don't we just stop? Why do we have to be superwoman, and what makes us feel guilty when we are the ones being cared for?

I agree with every lady who posted. It is two weeks for me today, and I just as many other lady's I over did it, my pain is worse and I have started bleeding again, thank God my 2 wk check up is today. It is highly possible that I tore a stitch on the "cuff". So in my guilt wanting to help my family I may have hurt them, by having to have another surgery and an extened recovery period. Try to tell yourself that when you are resting you are caring for your family in the best way.

Use the old saying like a mantra "If Momma ain't Happy, No bodys Happy".............

I promise that one tearfull possible a little angry outburst directed at your DH and teenager will remind them that you need to rest and to stand guard over you making sure you do it.

A quick note, my Mother had a TAH at my age, a RN who thought that she was superwoman. She ended up tearing a hole in her bladder, and had a cath for weeks, not to mention two more surgerys to repair the damage. It wasn't worth the clean kitchen that she was convinced she had to do.
