Post-op clothing sizes?

I picked up a few items to wear post-op --- a couple velour drawstring pant and jacket outfits, a dress with a waistline just below the bust, and a couple long sleeve tshirts. I usually wear size small, but got everything in a medium except the dress which I got in my usual size. Everything is, of course, a little large on me right now --- will the one-size-up be what I need post-op? These things are all very comfy, and the drawstring means I can control how tight on my waist things are. I also got granny panties, one size up, woohoo. LOL. What do you think?

Re: Post-op clothing sizes?

Great job!

Exactly what size will depend on your surgery and your individual recovery, but it sounds to me like got the right stuff: nothing tight around where the action is.

The first few days after surgery, I found broomstick dresses quite comfy - and decent looking. After that, I was able to move on to my regular shorts and pants that had larger waists (since I had been bigger there in the months). Putting on my jeans with more form fitting top ends was a really, really bad idea. No sucking it in!

Re: Post-op clothing sizes?

Hi Kbid, Sounds like you are all set! I am 2 weeks post op and still can not wear my jeans but anything that sits below my belly button works! Also bought yogo pants as both of my ovaries were taken so I have gone into menopause pretty quick and the yogo pants are light weight so I am don't get so hot.
Take Care and All will be Good afterwards!

Re: Post-op clothing sizes?

Sounds right to me. I am almost six weeks post op .. went up one size and drawstring is a perfect option. Good job!!! And good luck with your surgery!

Re: Post-op clothing sizes?

Still needing my one-size up stuff I bought at 10 weeks, in order to be really comfortable, but I can now get into some of my earlier pull-up pants as long as it's not for sitting in all day at work.
For work, I'm wearing tunic tops and tights/leggings that are 2 sizes too big, but the tunic covers that loose-fitting waist! A very comfy option for work.

Looks like we don't get back into shape any time soon
