Vaginal Cuff
Don't even think about the cuff. You can't feel it and I really doubt your dh will feel it. About the pain while peeing is probably all the stuff healing- I felt the same way.

Vaginal Cuff
My goodness, I too, certainly never meant any harm or to offend anyone. I have more laughs and hope from this thread than I have had for a very long time. I feel normal!
I visited my office today. I work in the OB/GYN office with the Dr. who did my surgery and had them in stiches (pardon the pun) about this thread. We are just asking and saying what everyone else is thinking. One of the Dr's in my office reassured me that my "cuff" will not detach, and my vagina will not fall out. He said he never has seen this happen and I am certain has never been asked that question. But there is a thread on here that say's that has happened after 3 months so I felt compelled to cover all basis. He took it all in stride as everyone in my office knows what a whoosie wuss I am. I obviously work in the back office and not in patient care. Bottom line is it has helped in my recovery by having you all there. Thank you to everyone who has responded to this thread in a lighthearted manner. Only we know what we are going through.

Vaginal Cuff
After reading all of this yesterday I had to email my doctor for reassurance that I'll be able to withstand the more rigorous sex that I've some to enjoy. I know I won't be able to look him in the eye the next time I see him! I am sure he got quite a chuckle though, out of my serious question. I'm still waiting for his reply. I told my husband he's probably laughing too hard to type. LOL

k9 lol too funny girl! I'm glad your experience went good! I hope mine can stand vigourous things too...because sometimes it can get that way.
What is the silver nitrate stuff...how does it help close up things? Did you have a hold or something that needed something extra? What happened after you had that silver nitrate stuff, does it hurt, how do they do it?
Do you bleed or have discharge afterwards?
Montana...yeah that is a strange word...a cuff....I saw on some web site it was called a vault...I thought a vault? Oh ha ha....that sounds huge lol
Mystic whispers....yeah, we all need a laugh throughout the day..I know I sure do. Been down in the dumps today.

Vaginal Cuff
Woole1- I asked my doc at my 6 week check up "Where do the eggs go?" My daughters were curious of course being girls. The doc said they are released each month as usual then our bodies absorb them. Guess I won't look like a bean bag at 50. LOL

Vaginal Cuff
Hopeful - as far as the silver nitrate goes - during my 6 week checkup the doc found that a few stitches hadn't dissolved and I had a bit of a raw spot where they were. The silver nitrate cauterizes the area closed by burning it. The doc told me it might "sting" a little. Imagine the doc holding a lighter to your cuff for a few seconds. It got HOT! The discomfort wasn't really bad though. I was achy afterwards and was told to expect some brown discharge with stitches in it (yep...found a few today). I didn't get the discharge until yesterday (HELLO!!! I was wearing white!!!) He didn't tell me the discharge would start DAYS later. Oh well.
The discharge hasn't been too bad though. Just a little more like the end of my period.
