Really Embarrassing Question!

I have not worked for over a year now. I started volunteering at my daughter's school this Tuesday. I have been on my feet more and doing allot of walking around. It has been moderate but tonight the pain as gotten worse. I don't know if this is something I should call my doctor on tonight. Or just wait until tomorrow. I am having strong pains and allot of pressure in my vaginal area. Almost the same pressure as trying to push a baby through. And feeling a little swollen. This is very embarassing for me, but you never know who might know what I am talking about. Please feel email me or IM me. I will be
on.

Thank you,
Kimbereley

Really Embarrassing Question!

((( Kimberly ))), if it were happening to myself, I would call my dr now. I think that it's always wise to be overly cautious instead of taking chances that could cause harm to yourself. What you've described doesn't sound normal to me.
Please keep us posted about how you're doing , we'll be here for you.

I remember that feeling!

I can't say for sure what this could be for you...but in my case, it was my uterus pushing/pressing down. I got the feeling just before I started my period. I think the Dr told me it was because my uterus was prolapsed AND the endometrial lining was so thick, there was a LOT of pressure. I felt swollen, and the pain varied from mild to moderate for me. (But I have a VERY HIGH tolerance for pain, so that would likely be moderate to high for most people.)

The very last period before my surgery was the worst. About 5 days before I started, I finally broke down and called the DR...he called in a prescription for Percoset for me. That definitely took the edge off, and made it bearable.

I'd call your Dr...maybe he can do the same for you.

Good Luck!!

Really Embarrassing Question!

I have that too!

I actually broke down and called the doctor today because it was so bad, I felt like I needed to keep my hand down there to keep everything from just falling out. Pressure and stabbing pains.. even radiating into the hips and thighs at times.

They said it was due to my condition - adenomyosis and since the uterus has such an abnormally thick lining, its pressing down the as it becomes nearer to the date for my cycle to begin.. and a few days into the cycle. Also all of the blood vessels are severely dilated as well and I cant even get a tampon in. Basically I have a prolapse now.

You should certainly call. I did and they let DH come in and pick up a bagful of vioxx 50 mg samples, which help tremendously with the swelling and inflammation.

Please dont be embarrassed to ask, or call the doctor. Its something that should be looked into

Sorry for being so long winded.. its my nature!

Really Embarrassing Question!

I have the same thing. Uterus is enlarged, prolapsed somewhat, and also have prolapsing rectal wall. If am on my feet too much, I get alot of pressure, too. Dr. advised 5-15-03 hysterectomy, which I am more than glad to do, as I am tired of this "waterlogged" pressure feeling in my crotch area. Espec. with periods so heavy.
